Kids Can Ride (Ages 6-9)

Lifelong habits start at a young age. The sooner kids are taught safe bike handling skills, the quicker they develop confidence and ability on their bikes. The focus of this course is to help your kids develop and practice safe cycling habits so they will be ready to learn how to ride with traffic when they are older. Through games and skill-related activities, the kids bike skills program teaches essential bike handling and safety skills to develop safe cycling behaviour, knowledge and attitudes in kids. This fun-filled three-hour course teaches helmet fit, basic traffic rules, how to check your bike and equipment, proper braking, hand signals/shoulder checks, bike handling with obstacles and more. Kids should be able to ride a bike without training wheels before participating. Brought to you by Capital Bike!
