Friends of Porter Park (birth-5 yrs)

Join us with your little ones as we explore together in Porter Park. We will gather near the Food Forest to explore and snack together. This program will be relatively unstructured, with room for free play, movement and community building. We look forward to exploring together! The Food Forest, located on Thurlow Rd, near the intersection of Kipling St.
Wednesdays June 5th – July 10th 10:00am to 11:30am

Kindergym (walking-5 yrs)

A time for preschoolers and caregivers to play and learn together in a fun, positive environment. Gym equipment is setup upon which children can explore.  Parent participation is required.
In the Garry Oak Room at 1335 Thurlow Rd.
Mondays, 9:15 am – 10:45 am
$2 (LIFE cards welcome)

Parent & Tot Playgroup (birth-5 yrs)

An opportunity for young children and their caregivers to meet and play in an informal atmosphere with toys, books and crafts. Snack provided. Group may not meet on school holidays and Professional Development days.

Family Talk – Laugh, Learn & Lunch

Join the FGCA staff as we explore the challenges and joys of parenting young children over lunch. Programming will include shared food and group discussions. Limited on-site childminding will be available.
In the main Place building 1330 Fairfield Rd. Please note this program runs together with Drop In Parent & Tot, so space is limited.  Participants are encouraged to arrive early.
Thursdays, Laugh  & Learn 10:30am-11:00am, then Lunch 11:00am-11:30am

Clothing Swap

Come to the Place once a month for a family clothing swap. Bring along your beloved but outgrown items to exchange for new duds! Please bring items in clean and gently used condition (no ripped, torn or dirty items). Clothing will only be accepted during the event hours and all remaining items will be removed by end of event for donation to charity.
