“The Centre is a hub and a connector for families and individuals that live in the Fairfield/Gonzales area. The Centre is well aware of the trends and issues in its neighbourhood and works in collaboration with the community to create an environment within its centre and within the community that allows people to feel welcome and safe.” – United Way of Greater Victoria

Fundraising Events

This year we hosted a book sale fundraiser in tandem with our Community Yard Sale in May, raising over $200 for community development programs. We also raised  over $400 through our donation boxes at Fall Fairfield. Through November and December we helped raise funds in support of the Gift of Good Food program at Fernwood NRG; $5000 was raised specifically to support Fairfield Gonzales families with a bag of healthy food every two weeks through the year.

In-Kind Support

We had the support of many generous in-kind sponsors this year. Their support with items such as tents, products, or services make our events possible.

Thrifty Foods
RBC Cook Street Village
Used Victoria
Puppets for Peace
Orca Books

Visit our Fall Fairfield  page to see a listing of donors and supporters of the FGCA’s annual give-back event to thank the residents of Fairfield Gonzales for their ongoing support.

Individual Donors

We thank all our donors for their thoughtful contributions to our work. In respect of their privacy, the FGCA does not publish or sell a list of our individual supporters.

Donations from our supporters are what makes many of our ‘extra’ programs and services possible. From running a Book Club to sponsoring kids in youth programs to beautifying our garden, each donation makes a big difference in how we serve our community.

We would like to thank each and every donor for their generous contribution to making our community a better place to live, work, and play!

For more information about our donation and fundraising initiatives contact place@fairfieldcommunity.ca or visit the Donate section of our website.

“Apart from the fact that I work at the Fairfield Thrifty Foods, I also live in the community. This has given me the opportunity to not only connect with the Association through support from Thrifty Foods, but also my family has benefited from many different programs over the years. It is great to have the connection with the FGCA because I know that all the support Thrifty Foods gives to the Association goes directly back into the neighbourhood.” – Thrifty Foods
