Facility Descriptions
The Fairfield Gonzales Community Association is your perfect location to host a meeting, workshop, special event, family function, dance, fundraiser or dinner. If you require a multipurpose space for any size event for 100 people please call the Fairfield Community Association at 382-4604.
The following equipment is available upon request for all room rentals:
- TV/VCR/DVD player - 27" colur flat screen TV's
- Portable state-of-the-art sound system
- Epson Digital Projector / USB / Monitor / Video / S-video inputs
- Over head projector and screen
- Flip chart stands - paper and markers responsibility of renters
- 30" x 60" lightweight portable tables
- Comfortable chairs
Garry Oak Room
An open, multi-purpose room with large windows. Foyer and washrooms offer wheel chair accessibility and baby change station. 1500 square feet, 100 person capacity. Located adjacent to the Sir James Douglas School. Main door access is from 1335 Thurlow Road.

Clients are responsible for renting coffee urns, cups, dishes and silverware from a catering company or may bring their own.
Corinne's Kitchen
Description: 900 sq. ft. commercial kitchen with 15 person seating around large, stainless steel counter. Gas grill and oven (available for extra fee), electric cooktop, commercial fridge and dishwasher. Accessed through shared foyer with the Garry Oak Room. Serving window into Garry Oak Room.
Family Room (Place Building)
Description: This room is available to rent during evenings and weekends and is suitable for small gatherings of no more than 20 people. It has a small living room type corner and adjustable table. Large windows face west. This is a bright comfortable room.
OSC Room (Place Building)
Description: The large room that we use for OSC faces south making it a very sunny and warm meeting place. There are tables and chairs, a small living room corner and a sink. It is suitable for gatherings of 20 -30 people and is available for weekend and evening events.
Our Other Place (The Portable at the back of the main Place building)
Description: This self-contained space is perfect for meetings, workshops or rehersal space. The facility comes complete with tables and chairs , screen and TV/VCR . The Portable is completely wheelchair accessible including washroom facilities. Windows let light in from two sides overlooking Porter Park. It is available until 2:30 pm daily and evenings and weekends.
