Our OSC programs are play-based and child-focused in nature. Our staff view children as individuals with their own ideas, cultural beliefs, abilities and interests, and strive to provide a safe and stimulating environment — physically, intellectually, mentally and emotionally. Children have a desire to grow, play and learn, as well as to explore and construct knowledge about the world around them through peer- and play-based experiences. While recognizing diversity, our program encourages the development of positive relationships among peers, as well as respectful communication between children, staff, and families.

Centre Closures
The centres will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day
- B.C. Day
- Labour Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Remembrance Day
- Christmas Day
Professional Development Days / Early Dismissals
Pro-D Day care is available at all three OSC locations and is included in full-time fees. Sign up sheets will be located in each program space as we require families to register for care one month in advance. Registration will close one week prior to the Pro-D Day. After this date, we cannot guarantee your child a space. If there is a scheduled out-trip, please ensure that you drop your child off before 9:30am. If you need to pick-up your child at the out trip location, you are responsible for making arrangements with the on-site manager in advance.
In addition, whenever possible, we provide care for scheduled early dismissal days (i.e. parent/teacher meetings).
The FCA offers camps during winter, spring and summer breaks. If you choose to enroll you child in one of our seasonal camps, the cost is in addition to your regular monthly OSC fees. Pre-registration and payment before the program begins are required. If you are interested in winter, spring or summer camp please speak to your on-site manager if you have any questions.
