About the Fairfield Food Forest
The Fairfield Food Forest in Porter Park is increasing food growing in Fairfield-Gonzales. A passionate group of dedicated residents brought the Food Forest into being in 2013. It is a permaculture garden, which grows a food producing forest for the whole community to use. Committed volunteers and families give their time to maintain and improve this garden. This fundraiser will help fund the addition of “understory plants” (herbs, pollinator and companion plants grown at the base of the trees). Let’s keep this lush garden growing!
