Jack-o-lantern carving Family Fun

Saturday, October 28th  10-12am Join us from to carve a Jack-o-lantern, make a fun Halloween craft & enjoy a little treat! This event will be a fundraiser for understory plants at the Fairfield Community Food Forest. Location- Food Forest in Porter Park or The Garry Oak Room (1335 Thurlow Rd), depending on weather. Tickets: $20/family or $10/Caregiver & Child, buy your tickets here.

Pocket Places Workshop

Nov 5, 7-9pm, Garry Oak Room, 1335 Thurlow Rd. Cultivate character and connection on your block with little free libraries, gathering spaces, community info boards, gardens and more! Camas Early Years Centre is open!

We are delighted to announce that our new all-day Early Years program opened on October 16th. This begins to address a significant need in our community for high quality, licensed childcare spaces. We welcome Camas Early Years Centre staff, children, and families to the FGCA community.

Gonzales Neighbourhood Plan

The City is conducting a survey on its Gonzales Neighbourhood Plan (about revisions to the neighbourhood plan and Official Community Plan amendments) . The survey link can be found here and closes Sunday October 29.

 

Fairfield Neighborhood Plan

The draft Fairfield Neighbourhood plan will go live on the city’s website  Nov 7th. Attend an open house to hear more details Saturday Nov 18, 10:30am – 1pm at the Sir James Douglas school gym, 401 Moss St.

Community Dinners ~ World Street Food

Sunday November 19th 6-8pm, Garry Oak room , 1335 Thurlow Rd. Travel around the world with FGCA. Neighbours share steert food from their ancestral homes. Celebrate the diversity within our community through food and culture.
